A Mitsubishi pick-up fell into the valley Għar Ħanżir in Qormi at 11.30pm on Sunday, leaving one the passengers seriously injured.
Police said that the car was being driven by a 23-year-old man from Mosta, and that there were four passengers: a 22-year-old man from Mosta, a 22-year-old man from Munxar, and two 21-year-old girls from Iklin and San Gwann.
They were rescued by a team from the Civil Protection Department. The girl from San Gwann was found to have serious injuries, while the others escaped unhurt.
