Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and National Defence Fund(NDF)

All donations towards the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF) and the National Defence Fund(NDF) are notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act,1961

The Assam government has waived application fees for grade III and grade IV jobs.

Talking to newspersons in Guwahati today, Assam Finance and Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said now onwards, no candidate should give fees for applications for state government jobs in these categories.

He also said the salary of contractual high school teachers has been raised to 20 thousand rupees from current 15 thousand in line with the budget announcement.

The minister also said the Assam government and Tata Trust will set up 19 cancer care institutes in the state with a budget of 2000 crore rupees.

The foundation stones of these institutes will be laid on the 17th of next month in Guwahati.
