Hry enhances ex-gratia for kin of policemen

Haryana Government has announced to enhance the ex-gratia grant being given to family members of police personnel who die in the line of duty from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.

Out of this, Rs 20 lakh would be given to the dependent of the deceased and Rs 5 lakh each to the parents. In case both father and mother are not alive, the grant money would be given to the dependent, said the Chief Minister while speaking at the Haryana’s biggest ever passing out parade to induct 4225 constables of 84th  batch of Recruit Basic Course in the police force after 10 months intensive training at Madhuban in Karnal.

Financial assistance of Rs15 lakh would be given to terminally injured police personnel, Rs 10 lakh to severely injured and Rs five lakh would be given for minor injuries, said he.

The Chief Minister also announced to set up six traffic police stations in the state jurisdiction on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) and Kundli-Gaziabad-Palwal (KGP) highways, one each in district of Sonipat, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Mewat, Palwal and Faridabad to regulate traffic on the expressway.

Describing the pass out batch as the most educated, the Chief Minister said that more than 50 per cent recruits have higher qualification.

Giving mantra of four ‘N’ of Naitikta, Nayaya, Nidarta and Nipunta, the Chief Minister urged the pass out to diligently  discharge their duty  toward maintaining law and order at the place of postings in the state to further improve the image of State Police force.
