It was only a matter of time before Raina's (Donshea Hopkins) murderer would be brought to justice on Power, but no one expected Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.) to be the one to take him out. And while Tariq has no regrets about killing Ray Ray (Marcus Callender), the murder will likely come with some serious consequences for the rest of his family -- namely his mother Tasha (Naturi Naughton) who has taken credit for his crime.

But just because she told her boo-thang Silver (Brandon Victor Dixon) she's the one who pulled the trigger, that doesn't mean she's ready to go down for murder. After all, Tasha's gotta be there for the rest of the family as they continue to deal with the fallout from Raina's death.

"Tasha would take the fall but she's like, 'Who's going to hold this family together?'" Naturi Naughton told TV Guide.

Instead, Tasha will do everything in her power to ensure that neither she nor Tariq find themselves behind bars, even if that means twisting the truth a bit. "At the end of the day, she's trying to find a way for no one to go to jail this season. She's manipulating the truth and using her resources to change the facts," added Naughton.

After helping Ghost (Omari Hardwick) run an illegal side hustle for so many years, it's safe to say Tasha is pretty skilled at coming up with alternate truths to ward off the authorities.

Power returns for Season 5 Sunday, July 1 at 9/8c on Starz.
