4-member gang of thieves busted

A team of Crime Branch, Faridabad Police on Saturday busted a four-member gang of thieves, which were active in the city and surrounding areas for the last six months.

A spokesman of Haryana Police Department said that nine cases of vehicle theft were solved with the arrest of members of the gang, who have stolen one car and eight two-wheelers. The police had also recovered one Ecco car, six motorcycle and two scooty from them.

He said that arrested accused have been identified as Sajid alias Sanjay a resident of Badkhal NIT, Faridabad, Sonu alias Khayali of Ballabhgarh, Lalit of village Fatehpur Billoch, Faridabad and Rahul, a native of Baselwa Colony, Old Faridabad. On getting a tip-off, all four accused have been arrested from different locations.

All four accused were used to steal vehicles to met their drug and other expenses. They have already been jailed many times in several cases. The accused were produced before the court from where they were sent to district jail, Neemka.
