Power supply in several areas suspended due to weather conditions

COLOMBO (News 1st) – The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy says activities are underway to restore the supply of power to areas, where it was suspended due to the prevailing weather conditions.
Media Spokesperson of the Ministry, Sulakshana Jayawardena said the supply of power to the areas of Rabukkana, Kegalle, Mathugama and Agalawatte remains hampered, adding that power lines have been damaged.
He added that the supply of power in Thulhiriya has also been suspended, due to a technical error on the transmission line.
