Off to Sochi

Prime Minister will be visiting Russia on Monday for an informal summit with Russian president Vladimir Putin in the summer beach resort of Sochi amid the US sanctions against Moscow that might impact Russian military supplies to India, especially an estimated ~400 billion deal to buy the sophisticated, long-range S-400 air defence system. Modi will be travelling to Russia at Putin's invitation. The meeting was not previously scheduled.

4 years of power

The BJP on Saturday will celebrate four years of being in power at the Centre. The usual interaction between journalists and party president Amit Shah is on the cards at the Ashok Hotel in Delhi where audio-visual shows on the government’s achievements will be showcased. Something special ? If there is, nobody is saying so.
