VARANASI: A pall of gloom descended on Dallupur village in Badagaon area after the news of Dantewada (
Chhattisgarh) IED blast reached here on Sunday afternoon. A local jawan Ravinath Singh Patel was among the martyred security personnel.
According to the villagers, Ravinath's parents are not aware about the demise of their son. The outsiders were stopped by the villagers on the outskirts. A school teacher Ajit Kumar, who taught Ravinath in school, said that his death came as a big shock to the villagers. They have no courage to inform the family members about the incident.
His parents Satyaprakash Patel and Anita Devi had no idea that there son is no more. Ravinath, the jawan of
Chhattisgarh Armed Force, was to visit his village on May 24 to fix the marriage of his sister Sarita.
Another CAF jawan Arjun Rajbhar (35), from Baraipara in Sadiabad area of Ghazipur district also lost his life in this incident. His parents Baliram Rajbhar and Ramavati Devi were speechless after being informed about the demise of their son.
Rajbhar is survived by his wife and three children. After a 15-day leave, he had returned to duty on April 20 this year.
