KKR's Prasidh Krishna Derails SRH Batsmen and Finds Place in IPL Record Books

One of the stars for the Dinesh Karthik-led Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday evening was Karnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna, who returned with figures of 4/30 in his quota of four overs against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad. The bowling performance was instrumental in helping KKR register a win on the day and a play-off berth in the on-going season of the IPL.

Krishna, who opened the bowling with Nitish Rana took the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan, Manish Pandey, Shakib Al Hasan and Rashid Khan which helped his team derail the SRH batting for 172/9 in their allotted 20 overs.

Krishna, not only helped seal a berth in the knockout stages, but also returned with the best bowling figures for a KKR bowler outside of Kolkata this season. It also happens to be KKR’s second best individual bowling performance after Kuldeep Yadav’s four wicket haul against Rajasthan a few days ago.

Krishna, who now leads the pack of the best bowling figures by a KKR bowler against SRH in the IPL, also finds himself sixth on the list of the best individual bowling performances this season, with Mayank Markande, Kuldeep Yadav, Shreyas Gopal, Andrew Tye and Ankit Rajpoot ahead of him.

Prasidh 3

Krishna, who bowled a dream and decisive final over, where he took three wickets and gave away four runs alongside a run-out that captain Dinesh Karthik affected of the last ball, now has the second best figures from an Indian pacer in this season.
