NEW DELHI: A Russian man was arrested at
Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Sunday for allegedly masturbating on a flight from Istanbul, officials said.
The complainant — an Indian woman who was sitting next to the passenger — raised an alarm, following which the man was shifted to a different seat.
Officials said the security control room of the airport received a call in the early hours of Sunday saying that there was an ‘unruly passenger’ on board a Turkish airlines flight which was about to land in Delhi.
Subsequently, the
Central Industrial Security Force (
CISF) reached the passenger as soon as the flight landed. Officials said the woman, meanwhile, had made a call to the Delhi Police, informing them about the passenger. “The accused was deboarded by the flight security and then handed over to the
Delhi Police for further legal action,” said an official.
