RBSE 12th result expected tomorrow, here’s all you need to know

The Rajasthan Board for Secondary Education (RBSE) is likely to declare the result of the Class 12 board examinations on May 21, according to senior officials. Students can check their result on the Board’s official website: rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in

The RBSE secretary, Meghna Chudhary, told HT on May 18 that the Rajasthan Board Result 2018 should be declared latest by May 21.

“Meeting of our results announcing committee could not be held today [on Friday] because of some inevitable circumstances. So there will be a delay by a day or two,” said Chudhary. The result was earlier expected to be out on May 19 (Saturday).

The Class 12 exams were held at 5,507 centres across the state. More than 826,200 students enrolled for Class 12 exams and out of which 42,665 students registered in commerce stream, 246,254 in science and 5,37,359 in humanities.

The board identified 415 centres as sensitive and made elaborate security arrangements to stop students from cheating at these centres. It also installed close-circuit television or CCTV cameras and recorded the exams on camera.

Last year, 89.05% students out of the 565,930 candidates from the humanities stream cleared the Class 12 exam. Girls did better than boys as 91.35% were declared successful. Among the boys, 87.04% passed.

Girls also outscored boys in science and commerce streams with a pass percentage of 93.4 and 95.5 respectively. The pass percentage for boys was 90.03 and 89.45 respectively.

In the science stream, 229,351 students appeared in the exams and out of which 80.46% girls and 67.7% boys got the first division. Similarly, in commerce 46,877 students appeared in the exams and 71.48% girls and 44.59% got the first division.
