Missing north Queensland teenager not seen for three weeks

Police have launched a public appeal for help to find a missing teenage girl who was last seen in Cairns three weeks ago.

The 13-year-old was reported missing on Friday after being last seen by family in Australis Close, Edmonton.

Police hold concerns for her welfare due to her age and the length of time it has been since she has seen her family.

The girl has been described as Aboriginal, about 140cm tall with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes.

If anyone has seen the girl or knows of her whereabouts, they have been urged to contact police.
