VS: BJP misusing all constitutional bodies

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is misusing all constitutional institutions in the country, Administrative Reforms Commission chairman V.S. Achuthanandan has said.

He was speaking at an election rally of Left Democratic Front candidate Saji Cherian in the Chengannur Assembly constituency on Sunday. “The BJP is blatantly misusing the power. They have shown hardly any regard to the verdict of the people in Karnataka. The BJP had tried all means to come to power in the State, but it failed. Secular forces should act in unison to defeat the BJP,” Mr. Achuthanandan said.

The former Chief Minister said that the Congress, due to its wrong policies, had been reduced to a few States in the country.

“The Congress party has disintegrated. Both the Congress and the BJP should not fancy their chances in Chengannur. The LDF will win the Chengannur bypoll,” he said.

Mr. Achuthanandan will continue campaigning for the LDF on Monday.
