IPL 2018, Match 56: FPJ’s Dream XI for Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have already qualified in the playoffs but struggled a bit in the last few games. CSK suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Delhi Daredevils (DD). And against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), CSK will look to earn a win to build their confidence ahead of the Playoffs. Ambati Rayudu will be the key player for the side as he has been in brilliant form. Rayudu would look to counter pacer Andrew Tye’s lethal attack. Former Aussie Shane Watson is another strong talent in CSK’s kitty. The return of Deepak Chahar from injury has given another edge to CSK’s bowling line up and he could also turn things around for his side. Here we see the probable dream XI for the Super Kings:

CSK: Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Sam Billings, Harbhajan Sing and  Lungi Ngidi

Led by new skipper Ravinchran Ashwin, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) need to win the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in a big margin to rose to the top half of the table. Some straight losses in a row have completely changed the fortunes for Punjab. There are five teams in contention for making it through the playoffs and Punjab are hanging by a thin thread. Punjab are at the seventh position. The key players for Punjab are their opening pair-KL Rahul and Chris Gayle. But this is also their weakness as they are too much depended on the duo. Andrew Tye will also be the key player. Tye is a ‘Purple Cap’ holder and has chipped in with his efforts in last few games: Here are the probable dream XI for the Kings XI:

KXIP: KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Aaron Finch, Karun Nair, Yuvraj Singh, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Andrew Tye, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ankit Rajpoot and Barinder Sran,
