Defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Delhi Daredevils (DD) in a must-win IPL encounter. While DD are out of the contention for the playoffs, MI need to win the game to seal the playoff seal. Delhi can be the banana peel and Mumbai needs to be cautious after CSK slipped in their penultimate game. For DD, there is pride at stake which makes them dangerous. For Delhi, it has been another forgettable season as they looked below par throughout the tournament. The last time two teams faced off, DD won by seven wickets in the last-over thriller. Here are the probable dream XI for the Daredevils:
DD: Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, Vijay Shankar, Glenn Maxwell, Harshal Patel, Abhishek Sharma, Trent Boult, Amit Mishra, Avesh Khan and Sandeep Lamichhane
On the other hand, Mumbai will be hoping for a favourable result. If KKR against Sunrisers wins which means that only one slot will be left for the playoffs with an eye on run-rate. Mumbai had a topsy-turvy campaign so far, after a series of defeats early in the tournament, they need to win the match which is more important. Mumbai’s batsmen have been inconsistent so far. Suryakumar Yadav (500 runs) has been among runs after being promoted as an opener while West Indian opener Evin Lewis (334) has had his moments. Skipper Rohit’s poor form is a big worry for Mumbai. Here we see the probable dream XI for the Indians:
MI: Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Hardik Pandya, Ben Cutting, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande and Jasprit Bumrah
