Prince Harry told the Archbishop of Canterbury he would take Meghan Markle to be his wife at a glittering display of royal pageantry that supporters hope will inject a measure of modern Hollywood glamour into the 1,000-year-old monarchy. “I will,” Harry answered when asked by Justin Welby, the leader of the Anglican Communion, if he would take Markle - dressed in a flowing white gown created by British designer Clare Waight Keller - to be his wife, to love her, comfort her, honor her and protect her. The declarations were followed by a reading and the address, delivered by U.S. bishop Michael Bruce Curry. The vows of bishop's address were followed by a soulful rendition of Stand By Me by a gospel choir, followed by the exchanging of vows between the happy couple, as well as the exchanging of rings.

Guy the beagle is living a fairytale. The 25-pound (11-kilogram) dog was a few days from being euthanized in 2015 after being found abandoned in the Kentucky backwoods. After a massive effort to bring the pooch to Canada, where by happenstance it cast its "big, sad eyes" on Meghan Markle, Guy will officially be welcomed into the British royal family when she marries Prince Harry today. Guy was spotted riding in a royal car with Queen Elizabeth herself yesterday. (With AFP inputs)

Royal bride Meghan Markle will make a striking feminist statement in her wedding to Prince Harry on Saturday, choosing not to be chaperoned for much of the procession down the aisle of St. George's Chapel here in London, CNN has learned. In an unprecedented step for a royal bride in the UK, Markle will walk unescorted down the aisle of the chapel nave, after being met at the West Door by a member of the clergy. She will be accompanied in this first part of the wedding procession only by her bridesmaids and page boys, with the senior church figure walking ahead, CNN said.

Scotch whisky-maker Royal Salute has created a commemorative bottle to mark the royal wedding for serious aficionados and monarchists who are willing to pony up an eye-watering $10,000 for a single bottle. Created by master blender Sandy Hyslop, the whisky is a blend of some of the oldest and rarest whiskies from the distillery, aged in American oak barrels -- a special nod to the American actress. The lining of the box features daffodils, the official flower of Wales (Prince Harry's official title is Prince Henry of Wales), and California poppies, to represent Markle's birthplace (Los Angeles).
Teaser photos reveal shots of fresh asparagus sourced from neighboring Portwood Farm, peas and artichokes. The menu will also feature produce plucked from Windsor Estate itself.
