Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams was arrested early Saturday morning in suburban Dallas on suspicion of public intoxication, not long after police found his Lamborghini abandoned after it hit a light pole.
Frisco (Tex.) police were investigating the single-car accident that occurred around 4:45 a.m. local time when officers located Williams riding an electric bike near his home. Williams was arrested on the misdemeanor intoxication charge and was released from the jail after he posted a $369 bond, the police said in a news release.
A police spokesperson told USA TODAY Sports that investigators are looking into what role Williams had – if any – in the single-car accident involving the 2017 blue Lamborghini registered to the fifth-year pro. The charges could include fleeing the scene of an accident and striking a structure or highway landscaping.
Police were not immediately investigating Williams for suspicion of driving under the influence.
The Cowboys did not immediately respond to USA TODAY Sports on Saturday.
