Varanasi flyover collapse: Two more officers of UP Bridge Corporation suspended

In Uttar Pradesh, two more officers of UP Bridge Corporation have been suspended in connection with Varanasi flyover collapse case. The suspended officers are former project Manager Genda Lal and junior project manager, Rajesh Pal. Both of them have also been held responsible for the accident along with five others by a high power probe committee. Meanwhile, Varanasi District police has filed a report at Sigra police station against UP Bridge Corporation for unintentional murder in view of the accident. Magisterial probe conducted by Additional District Magistrate Varanasi Manoj Kumar Rai is also underway. He has been asked to submit his report by tomorrow. Besides, a high power technical committee set up by the Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya to ascertain technical reasons behind the accident has initiated its job. The committee has been asked to file its report within 15 days. UP Bridge Corporation is engaged in construction of Varanasi fly over where collapsing of two beams had claimed 15 persons and left 12 injured.
