The Royal Wedding Happened and There Was a Jaguar!
While everyone else in the world talks about the Royal Wedding, the dress, the choir, and all the pomp and circumstance, we were interested in something else: Cars, of course.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, now formally known as the Duchess of Sussex, were married in a beautiful ceremony this weekend and drove off from Windsor Castle to attend the reception in an equally beautiful Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero Roadster. Painted in a stunning silver blue, this vintage Jag was originally built in 1968 but has been modified to run on electric power, a fitting ride dripping in symbolism for this modern royal couple.
The Concept Zero is able to get to 62 mph in just 5.5 seconds, but we doubt Prince Harry’s security detail would allow him to do an acceleration test. The British automaker says the electric roadster also has a range of about 170 miles (270 km).
Enzo Ferrai famously once touted the E-Type as “the most beautiful car in the world,” and the car has influenced many automotive designers since.
Check out a video of the beautiful couple and the beautiful car from the official Twitter account of the Royals below:
