Indore : The two-day second CMS Vatavaran Film Fest organised by The Nature Volunteers at Govindram Seksaria Institute of Management & Research auditorium concluded on Saturday.
On the first day, there was panel discussion on, ‘Water woes in urban areas’ moderated by Abhilash Khandekar. Those who took part in discussions included Arun Dike, Lokendra Thakkar, Dr Satish Pande, Padma Shri awardee Bhalu Mondhe and professor Dr Sandeep Narulkar.
Documentary films including Operation Sumatran Rhino, Gangnauli – Life in Choked Desolation and Kalichaat were screened during the two-day event.
On the concluding day, Paryavaran Prahari Award was presented to people who struggled to preserve environment. Social activist Kishore Kodwani was selected as the first awardee. During the event, participants talked to Free Press on need to conserve environment. Excerpts
