Government staff who joined in last four years get congratulatory letter from Raje

In a unique attempt, chief minister Vasundhara Raje is sending congratulatory letters to new state government joinees in order to create positivity in the workforce.

The initiative has apparently been taken to appease employees to ensure that they support the government.

In the letter, congratulating the new recruitees, Raje states that it is a matter of happiness that the opportunity has been given to them to serve the people. She further states that because of “your hard work and ability, you have received the success. I hope you will continue the hard work and fulfil the responsibilities in order to redress grievances of the people.”

In the letter, sent to those who have joined in the last four years, Raje states that for the happiness, prosperity and development of a state, the indicators are efficiency, dedication and willpower of its personnel. “Rajasthan today is standing among the leading states and it is because of its personnel, who are committed and work dedicatedly to fulfil their responsibilities.”

The chief minister also says that she is proud of their appointment as they have become a part of the development journey of team Rajasthan.

Sources claimed that around 40,000 such letters have been sent till date in last 15 days and over a lakh more will be added to the list.

A senior official close to the development, who did not want to be named, said, “The basic idea of sending such letters is to create positivity. There is nothing political and it’s a positive gesture, which probably has been done for the first time in Rajasthan. A letter from the CM will certainly encourage and motivate employees.”

However, president of Akhil Rajasthan Rajya Karamchari Sanyukt Mahasangh (akikrat), Gajendra Singh called it a political stunt. “A person gets a job based on their ability. Employees are making demands for a long time, but the government has not paid any heed. Congratulations for what? It’s just a political stunt. Such things have never happened in history by any government,” said Singh.

Commenting on it, Congress spokesperson Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said, “This is a new tradition set by CM to get votes. It will send a wrong message. We have never heard of such things. The candidates are selected through exams, selection and merit. This is being done looking at the elections, but it is too late. They will not benefit.”
