Metro Rail Corporation (
LMRC), Kumar Keshav along with the other directors of the organisation on May 19 undertook a special drive in the Metro system to create an awareness on the benefits and advantages of using a ‘GoSmart’ card among its daily commuters inside the Metro train.
Starting this drive inside the Metro train from Transport Nagar to Charbagh on Saturday morning, the Managing Director personally interacted with Metro commuters inside the train en-route and explained them the benefits and advantages of using a ‘GoSmart’ card vis-à-vis taken for Metro journey in the system.
Keshav said that travelling by ‘GoSmart’ card in Metro is actually like a mega saving in which, one enjoys several benefits like a flat discount of 10% on each journey, savings in travel time as there is no need to stand in queue for purchasing a token, full freedom of travelling from one Metro station to another Metro station, facility of using free Wi-Fi at Metro stations etc.”
Mahendra Kumar, Director (Operations) cum Director (Director Rolling Stock & Systems), also interacted with metro passengers during the travel and persuaded them to use only ‘GoSmart’ card during their travel in Metro owing to its several benefits in the interest of the passengers.
GoSmart card is transferable and can be used by any friends or relative. “One can get full refund of his/her deposit money while returning the card to Lucknow Metro”, he emphasized.
Officials said that
Lucknow Metro shall be continuing such drives in future also to make the Metro commuters aware of the advantages of using a ‘GoSmart’ card in place of using token. Sensitization of such money savings issue among the passengers shall ultimately benefit the commuters in long run.
