PBS fans were in for a treat Saturday because The Reading Rainbow’s Levar Burton was in Tulsa today.

He spoke at the Tulsa Arts Alliance Brunch and read to children at the Guthrie Green during the afternoon. Burton’s mission is to emphasize the importance of reading at a young age.

"My favorite part of that work was and continues to be, under Levar Burton Kids, the joy of spreading the magic, the power of the written word," said Burton.

 The Arts Alliance Tulsa is a United Arts Fund.
