BENGALURU: Unidentified assailants hacked a 36- year-old history-sheeter to death outside his real estate office in Vasanthnagar on Friday evening.
The deceased, Rakesh Kumar, was a resident of Vasanthnagar and brother-in-law of slain history-sheeter Kavala alias Vijay Kumar, who was murdered in June 2014, police said.

A realtor and small-time financer, Rakesh was standing outside his real estate office when six to eight bike-borne men attacked him at 6.40pm, police said. He died on the spot.

"Rakesh was a history sheeter in two police stations - High Grounds and Madiwala. He was also involved in 10 criminal cases in other stations, including land-grabbing, robbery and riot cases," police said.
