Ujjain : Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) KK Singh inspected Chimanganj Krishi Upaj Mandi on Saturday and took stock of purchase of gram crops at the government minimum support price (MSP). He was accompanied with cooperative commissioner Renu Pant.
Singh spoke to farmers and enquired about their problems. The farmers demanded more weighing centers in the mandi premises as existing weighing centers were insufficient. He directed collector Manish Singh and the mandi committee secretary as well, to provide ease to farmers and instructed placing more weighing centers in the mandi premises. He expressed concerns over warehousing of crops during the rainy season. Singh also met mandi committee head Bahadursingh Bormundla and vice president Sheru Patel. ADM GS Dabur, SDM Kshitij Sharma and other officials were present during the visit. Singh also visited a nursery of the forest department near Kshipra Vihar and issued necessary instruction to officials concerned.
