Mumbai: The investigators probing Atharva murder case is now waiting for Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to see if he was sexually assaulted during party by anyone or not. Atharva’s father has alleged that his son has sustained sexual assault injuries on his body which was found near a lake in Royal Palms of Aarey Colony. A senior police officer said Atharva left the bungalow number 212 at 7:19 am on May 08 and then he reached Piccadilly at 7:23 am.
“He reached from party venue to Piccadilly in 4 minutes. and it is only possible if he has jumped the iron gate. After reaching Piccadilly, he spent few minutes there asking for autorickshaw driver and motorcyclist for lift. The four eye witnesses including car washer, milkman, security guard and a passerby told us that there was no injury marks on his body till 7:23 am as seen in the CCTV footage,” said sources.
Later, when Atharva did not get an autorickshaw, he moved towards Mystique 2 bungalow. He was last seen at 7:29 am near the Mystique 2 bungalow. “There were no injury mark on Atharva’s body till 7:29 am and later he is not seen anywhere in the CCTV footage,” sources said.
The staffers of bungalow number 31 saw Atharva puking near palm tree number 462, which is on the backyard of the bungalow and nearby lake in Royal Palms. “The staff members of this bungalow saw him at 7:33 am and there were injuries on Atharva’s body and his eyes were black,” the source added.
“Whenever Atharva got up, he was captured in the CCTV footage of bungalow number 31. In the CCTV footage he is seen removing his pant several times and puking,” he said. Another source said that the Aarey police and forensic team could not get any evidence from bungalow number 212 as the party got over on May 8 and the venue was cleaned by his staffers. The investigators have recovered the bed sheet from the bungalow number 212 and sent to forensic science laboratory whose reports are awaited.
