Land allotment to follow clearance: KTR

Industries and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Friday said infrastructure development and land allotment at the Hyderabad Pharma City will begin as soon as the project receives environmental clearance.

The Minister was speaking at the inauguration of a new facility of Caliber Technologies, a firm focused on providing software solutions for quality management in the pharmaceutical industry.

Highlighting how the Pharma City would be an integrated facility, he said overtime pharmaceutical units in the city – within the Outer Ring Road – would also be shifted there.

Earlier, Industries Secretary Jayesh Ranjan spoke on the progress made by the pharma industry and how the Hyderabad Pharma City is poised to be the world’s largest industrial cluster in the area life sciences.

CEO and President of Caliber Technologies Sekhar Surabhi said the company solutions are being implemented by customers in seven countries, including the US, UK, China and Thailand, besides in India. The new building and the infrastructure have been set up at a cost of around ₹16-17 crore.

To a query, he said the headcount of the company is around 340 and is expected to increase to 700 by next year.

The company’s revenues last year was nearly ₹65 crore.
