Allapuzha: A Thiruvananathapuram bound bus from Palakkad had met with a severe accident during the wee hours of 19th of May 2018. This private bus had rammed a stationary lorry near Kallappura Temple on the National Highway, leaving many passengers with grevious injuries. The stationary lorry was undergoing repair at the wayside.
The front part of the bus was severly damaged by this accident. The exit door of the bus did not open, because of which the Police and the Fire and safety rescue team had to break open the windows to rescue the passengers stuck inside the bus. The injured include women and children too. They have been taken to the nearby General Hospital.
