It's always time to make the donuts, but for the Dunkin Donuts on Palm Coast Parkway, Saturday was a time to celebrate as well.

The shop, which was destroyed by a fire on June 9, 2016 and reopened in May 2017, celebrated the first anniversary of the reopened store with a party. The event included free samples of menu items and a drawing that included gift cards, cases of coffee and a 55-inch flat screen television.

Owner Glen Garman said the reopening celebration was intitially set for last fall, but Hurricane Irma disrupted those plans. But he and partner Gary Heckel decided they needed to do something to mark the store's reopening.

"This location is very important to our organization," Garman said. "It was our flagship location and the very first location of our business."

Garman said the fire was "really devastating" and owners wanted to show their appreciation for the commuhity support they received after the incident.

"We are so fortunate to reopen this location," he said.
