Man’s body found in Tughlakabad

An unidentified body was found in the forest area of south Delhi’s Tughlakabad Extension on Thursday evening, the police said on Friday.

The police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC in the matter. The man appears to be 20-25 years old, they said.

DCP (South) Romil Baaniya said the police control room received a call around 8 p.m. on Thursday regarding a man’s body lying in Jahanpanah forest.

“The body was found to be four-five days old. There was an injury mark on the head. It could be because of a fall,” Mr. Baaniya said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and action will be taken after the cause of death is ascertained, the police said.
