The long weekend is upon us, which means there may be some changes to what's open and what's closed.
What's open
Region of Waterloo International Airport.
Curbside waste collection goes ahead as usual on Monday.
Kitchener splash pads open for the season this weekend (with the exception of McLennan Park).
Activa Sportsplex and Sportsworld Arena in Kitchener are open for scheduled rentals. Lyle S. Hallman Foundation walking track at Activa Sportsplex has modified hours – 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. – on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, it is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The Aud is open for regular scheduled rentals, as well as for the K-W Kennel Club's Annual Dog Show, happening from Saturday to Monday.
Grand River Transit will operate a Sunday schedule. Charles Street Terminal, Ainslie Street Terminal both open.
All Kitchener pools – Breithaupt pool, Forest Heights pool and Lyle Hallman pool — are open Friday to Sunday. All public swims and lane swims are open at Cameron Heights pool from Friday to Sunday.
Closed on the weekend
Kitchener's Cameron Heights pool has registered programs cancelled Saturday and Sunday.
Bridgeport and Williamsburg community centres in Kitchener closed Saturday to Monday.
