Hold medical camps in Agency, Collector tells health staff

Besides other regular means, medical check-ups at weekly markets and to students should be conducted to treat girijans who were suffering from various ailments, Collector Pravin Kumar has said.

At a meeting with medical officers at the Youth Training Centre at Chintapalle after visit to the Agency areas, he reviewed the availability of medicines at PHCs and the patients turning up, epidemic action plan, immunization plan, vacancy of doctor posts and organising of medical camps.

Any sudden increase in cases should be taken to the notice of the ITDA Project Officer. In case of critical cases if ambulance was not available vehicles should be hired, he instructed the medical staff.

The ANM and medical officer concerned would be held responsible for the death of children due to malaria or other diseases, he said.

Additional DM & HO Pardhasaradhi and District Tuberculosis Officer Vasundhara explained the problems being faced and the action being taken.

Resorts

Mr. Pravin Kumar inspected the resorts being constructed at Lammasingi. The Anganwadi building there should be constructed as a model, he said.

At Jallurimetta, ITDA Project Officer Ravi Pattanshetti said efforts were being made for organic certification for turmeric produced there.

He visited Jennavaram where a road work is under progress and inaugurated ANM Sub-centre at Asarada in G.K. Veedhi mandal. He visited the Pedavalasa PHC. Sub-Collector D.K. Balaji participated.
