Ramon Gonzalez, the inspirational teen who has touched his community far beyond his status as a Wichita Falls High School student and soccer player, passed away Saturday.
The 18-year-old had fought through and defeated the cancer twice with friends, family and community praying behind him.

One year ago as he fought back hard he cheered on his teammates on soccer broadcasts as the Coyotes made the state tournament. He couldn't yell at them so he took it out on the I-Pad.
“I was getting all into the games, yelling at my iPad,” he said. “It was boosting me up to beat it, to come back for my team. I knew they were back at home waiting for me to play soccer with them.”
