Metro Creative Connection

Keep Euclid Beautiful will host the first Rain Barrel Workshop and Eco-Friendly Fair 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 9, at Euclid City Hall, 585 E. 222nd St.

The free Eco-Fair will host over a dozen groups and organizations to share love of community and the lake and they will let attendees know what they can do to get involved. Topics will include Lake Erie, sustainable energy, composting, recycling and native plant gardening.

The event will include workshops, presentations, kids’ activities and more.

As a special attraction, the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District will be hosting a Rain Barrel Workshop.

Each workshop participant can construct a 60-gallon rain barrel to take home. A barrel, downspout diverter and all materials are included at the cost of $60.

Registration is required by June 1.
