A yarn shop is growing into an expanded store in downtown Troy, with a ribbon-cutting set for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Kathleen's Fiber Arts is moving to 212 River Street, from its former location at 29 Third St., adding more than 400 square feet of additional space, said owner Kathleen Brown.

The shop features more than 100 varieties of yarn, some locally produced, as well as felted products and handmade accessories. It also offers lessons on operating a loom.
