Ujjain: Congress workers take to streets over Karnataka Governor’s decision


Ujjain: Dozens of Congress workers staged a demonstration here on Thursday in protest against the Kanataka Governor’s decision to invite BJP to form a government in the state. Youth Congress State general secretary Ajit Borasi slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party for forming a government in Karnataka.

Demonstrating Congress leaders, under the leadership of Borasi hit the roads and assembled at Tower Chowk near the statue of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. Addressing the rally Borasi said, the Congress-JDS alliance should have been given a chance to form the government, but the governor had overlooked the party and invited the BJP to form the government. He accused the BJP and Prime Minister Modi of killing the constitution.

Spokesperson Rajesh Tiwari informed that Vivek Yadav, Jaisingh Durbar, Anant Narayan Meena, Sita Soni, Hemant Singh Chouhan, Amit Sharma, Deepak Mahere, Vaseem Bunty, Hemant Gome, Anil Marmat, Ishaq Khan, Rajesh Bathli, Jagdish Suryavanshi, Pratesh Sharma, Amber Mathur, Bharat Porwal and Arpit Yadav were present with hundreds of Congress leaders.
