Siddhartha Academy inks MoU with U.S. varsity

A window of opportunity

The Siddhartha Academy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the New Mexico State University (NMSU), USA, on Thursday.

The understanding has been reached to enable sharing of common goals of education through international and cultural exchange and opportunities for students and faculty from the institutions run by the academy in and around the city.

President of the academy N. Venkateswarlu and Dr. David and Dr. Philip from NMSU exchanged files of the agreements.

Win-win situation

NMSU India coordinator Kumar Annavarapu and Vice-Chairman of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce M. Vijaya Sai facilitated signing of the pact at V R Siddhartha Engineering College.

Addressing the students, Dr Kumar threw light on various opportunities and facilities students will have through this agreement. He said through Instate facility, students could avail big reduction in the tuition fee, get assistantships, research fellowships and scholarships from foreign universities.

He said students could also get visa without any hurdles, adding that free higher education was possible through such MoUs.

Dr. David and Dr. Philip detailed the various facilities and opportunities available at the university.

Mr. Venkateswarlu said that many more MoUs were being planned with other foreign universities in the days to come for encouraging the students to pursue higher education abroad.
