DVC Bokaro Thermal launches ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ fortnight

DVC Bokaro Thermal is observing Swachhta Pakhwada from May 16. The fortnight-long observance of programmes to spread the message of cleanliness and make it a part of everyone’s life, was jointly inaugurated by the Chief Engineer & project head of BTPS, Kamlesh Kumar and PK Singh, Sr Personnel Manager, in Bokaro Club here on Wednesday. The head of the project administered the definition of Swachhta to the school kids and staffs of the BTPS.

 Speaking on the occasion, the project head Kamlesh Kumar said that the mission of Swachh Bharat as well as Swachh Bokaro Thermal and its surrounding areas will become a reality if every one of Bokaro Thermal citizen makes up one’s mind to neither litter nor let others litter. Senior Personnel manager P. K. Singh said that Swachhta should be looked upon as everyone responsibility, not just of the workers involved in cleaning.

Singh told everyone not to let Swachhta Pakhwada be an act of tokenism, but a programme that is done from the heart. Senior Personnel Manager P. K. Singh reminded everyone that there are small steps everyone can do in order to spread the message of Swachhta and to make Swachh Bokaro Thermal, a clean place.

The students of St Paul Modern School, Bokaro Thermal, DVC Middle school and High school also took part in the abhiyan and cleanness drive held at Vir Kunwar Singh park .Those who were part of the occasion namely A. K. Tiwari H.C. Mishra, B.K. Mishra, Ramesh Kumar and others.
