5 IPS transferred in UP

The state government transferred five senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers on Thursday.

As per an official communiqué released on Thursday, back from Centgral deputation, Deepesh Juneja was appointed as ADG, Police Recruitment and Promotion Board. Similarly, ADG, Human Rights Commission, Tanuja Srivastava was also posted as ADG, Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.

Two ADGs of Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Vitul Kumar and Zaki Ahmed were removed. While Kumar was relieved for Central deputation, Ahmed will be the new ADG of ATC, Sitapur.

Meanwhile, IG, Rules and Manuals, Amitabh Thakur was shifted to Civil Defence in the same capacity.

Besides, three Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) were also shifted. ASP, ATS Brajesh Srivastava was made ASP (City) Allahabad, while Staff Officer of ADG ( Meerut Zone) Kumar Ranvijay Singh and ASP, Meerut (City) Shree Prakash Dwivedi will swap postings.
