Two relics from the body of St. Anthony of Padua will be brought to three local churches next month as part 10-day tour through the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown.
The parishes and dates are as follows:
June 10 - St. Anthony/All Saints, 1530, 11th St. SE; veneration from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.; 330-452-9539.
June 15 - St. Barbara, 2813 Lincoln Ave. NW, Massillon; veneration between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Masses.
June 16 - St. Joseph, 427 E. Broadway. Alliance; veneration from noon to 4 p.m. Mass.
Born in Portugal in 1195, St. Anthony was a 13th century friar and one of the earliest members of the Franciscan order, which was founded in 1209.
He died in Padua, Italy, on June 13, 1231, and was canonized in 1232.

The relics will be accompanied by the Rev. Mario Conte, a Franciscan friar from Pontifical Basilica in Padua, Italy.
