Man City news: Pep Guardiola vows to make team even better after contract extension
PEP GUARDIOLA has vowed to make record-breaking champions Manchester City even better after agreeing to stay at the Etihad until 2021.

The Spaniard, 47, has signed a new three-year deal, worth around £60m with bonuses.
Guardiola, who had a year left on his current deal, said: “We have a young squad with an average age of 23 and we want to to keep taking steps and maintain the levels we’ve achieved this season.

Guardiola’s deal means he will stay at City for five years at least – a year longer than his tenure at Barcelona and two years more than he spent at Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile City have moved closer to making midfielder Jorginho their first signing of the summer with the midfielder’s agent saying it is now a question of a fee being thrashed out by the clubs.
Joao Santos said: “At this moment Jorginho is still under contract but if Napoli finds an agreement with City, the player will go to Manchester. Agreeing personal terms with the English club will not be a problem considering the importance of the team."
