Well, now we know why Stephen Amell said an Olicity baby might be difficult storyline after Arrow's Season 6 finale...
Last week, Oliver called the FBI into Star City to help arrest Diaz (Kirk Acevedo), confessing to moonllighting as the Green Arrow in return. Now, we know his confession isn't all he offered up. In exchange for the rest of his team getting immunity for their crimes and going free, Oliver offered himself up as a scapegoat. Once Diaz's operation was all but taken down -- with one very notable loose end: Diaz, himself -- Agent Watson (Sydelle Noel) stepped in to arrest Oliver right there in front of everyone!
Arrow has pulled this "Oliver is outed as the Green Arrow" kind of thing a few times, most notably, a few episodes ago when he was on trial, but this one kind of seems like it's for real. He sealed the deal by getting in front of a bunch of news cameras and confessing to being the Green Arrow on live TV, which pretty much kills the possibility that he could ever put the hood on again. Right?

This finale also gave us a major goodbye for Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), who as of this episode has officially exited the series. During the last battle with Diaz, Lance was shot in the gut and rushed to the hospital. Then, after a touching goodbye between Oliver and Lance, where Oliver totally implied Papa Lance was like a father to him, Lance went into surgery... and didn't come back out.
Someone PLEASE stop taking the Lance family to hospitals! It never ends well for them!
As we head into the summer hiatus, Oliver was headed into Supermax, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and William (Jack Moore) were entering protective custody until Diaz could be tracked down and captured, Diggle (David Ramsey) was still at ARGUS (but pondering taking over as the Green Arrow), and Lance was dead on the table with Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) and Sara (Caity Lotz) crying over his dead body.
Talk about a dark way to end a season!
Arrow will return on Mondays at 9/8c on The CW this fall.
