At the Massachusetts Vocational Championships held Wednesday, the short-handed Diman boys' track team collected 113 points, good enough for a second-place finish.

Shawsheen was first with 118.

In the 4x800, Evan Vasconcellos, Colin Melo, Curtis Melo, and Nate Boardman teamed up to win at 8:45.2, while the 4x100 team of Edwin Fuentes, Jacob Faris, Jayvir Stanley, and Nick Demers also took first in 45.75.

Zack Poitras also claimed first place in the javelin with a heave of 156-6.

Diman also had a pair of runners miss their running events as they had to leave early for National Honor Society inductions.
