A Rehoboth Beach man was charged with home invasion and several other offenses on Thursday, state police say. 

Troopers were dispatched to Spinning Wheel Lane at about 12:45 p.m. for a disorderly complaint. They found 39-year-old Keegan Dolan outside the front of the house.

Further investigation revealed two male occupants, 34 and 24 years old, were inside the house when Dolan began banging on the residence and making threats toward them, according to the state police release. 

Dolan opened a bedroom window a threw a bucket of water filled with cigarettes, striking one of the residents and damaging the window blinds.

He then tried to climb through the window, holding a baseball bat and threatening to harm the residents. A wooden Louisville Slugger baseball bat was recovered from the scene, the release stated.

Troopers took Dolan into custody without incident.

Dolan was charged with home invasion and two counts of aggravated menacing. He was also charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, offensive touching, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

He was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $25,500 unsecured bond.
