Four hurt after bus rams into bike, cabs

KOLKATA: Four persons were injured, one of them critically, after a private bus lost control and rammed into a biker before hitting a private car, a taxi and an app cab on Biren Roy Road (East) in Behala, in front of Diamond City West residential complex near Behala Chowrasta.
Police said the incident happened around 10pm when a bus of route 18B hit a bike while trying overtake it. The bus then rammed into other vehicles. The biker came under the wheels of the bus. At least two passengers and the driver of the private car were taken to a nearby hospital by locals and policemen. The driver of the bus, however, fled from the spot. After the incident, locals broke the windscreen of the bus and demanded immediate arrest of the driver.
