The Wilmot Cemetery Association will hold a Memorial Day program in observance of the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the 65th anniversary of the end of hostilities in Korea.
The event will begin at 8:45 a.m. with a parade which will travel from the Wilmot village square to Greenlawn Cemetery. Music will be provided by the Fairless High School Band, and ceremonies honoring all veterans will be conducted by Beach City American Legion Weimer-Widder Post 549. Residents are urged to participate in the parade.
Attendees of the observance are encouraged to show patriotism by wearing red, white and blue. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a lawn chair for comfort. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at Faith Christian Academy, 511 W. Main St., Wilmot.
