Ness Digital Engineering to hire 1,000 people

Digital transformation and custom software engineering services provider Ness Digital Engineering plans to recruit around 1,000 people by end of this year in the country.

This was announced by senior executives of Ness Digital at a press meet on Wednesday to announce the opening of a 100,000 sq ft Center of Excellence for S&P Global in the city.

The new facility, to support the growing technology, data operations and core business process talent operations of S&P Global in the region, can accommodate 850 people, the company said. The facility has technology labs to exclusively focus on artificial intelligence, internet of things, machine learning and DevOps innovation and solutions.

Ness Digital Engineering, president and global chief delivery officer Vinay Rajadhyaksha said, globally had 16 development centres, including in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. In India, Ness Digital now has 2,000 employees, of which 350 were working for S&P in Hyderabad. Besides hiring 500 more people to work for S&P, the company planned to hire 600 candidates to work on other projects within two years.

A release said the CoE would work on evolving S&P Global’s products and platforms across varied business segments. S&P Global provides ratings, benchmarks, analytics and data to the capital and commodity markets.

Chief technology officer of S&P Global Ratings Marcus Daley highlighted the significance of the Hyderabad operations, while Erik L. Rogers, head of programme and chief of staff S&P Global Ratings IT said the new facility would accelerate the digital transformation of the company.
