A Florida man has died after the vaping pen he was using exploded in his face. Fire fighters found the body of Tallmadge D'Elia in his burnt-out apartment, with burns to more than 80% of his body. Two pieces of the vape pen were found lodged in his head.

25-year-old man posed as teen to play basketball

A high school basketball star is facing charges of tampering with government records after it emerged that he is actually 25 years old. Sidney Gilstrap-Portley had claimed he was a refugee from Hurricane Harvey, allowing him to enrol in the school. He was found out when his former coach from another school spotted him playing at an inter-school tournament.

Child renamed after tattoo artist’s mistake

A Swedish woman has taken the unusual step of renaming her son after a tattoo artist made a spelling mistake. After considering the costs of having the tattoo removed, the woman and her husband decided it would be easiest to rename two-year-old Kevin to Kelvin, bringin it into line with the tattoo.
