A couple missing nearly two years after being last seen at a South Beaver Township were located living in Michigan, alive and well, according to state police.
Ian L. Freed, 33, and his girlfriend, Elaine Daley, 45, were reported missing in July 2016 after family members were unable to locate them following the Fourth of July weekend.
Police said an organization helping to search for Freed and Daley received information that the couple was living in Michigan. Local police checked an address and found Freed and Daley were living there, state police said.
Police did not release where in Michigan they were found. Freed is a native of Beaver Falls, and Daley is from Big Beaver.
According to a statement posted Tuesday on the Facebook page “Hope for Ian,” the couple was found “alive and well.”
Freed’s father, James Freed, told The Times last week he had spent nearly two years searching for his son. At that time, a search was planned for the Crawford Camping Park in South Beaver Township, where Freed and Daley were last seen.
