Weather Update: Warm conditions expected across most of SA

Warm conditions are predicted for most of South Africa on Thursday.

Rain

Isolated showers are expected for the eastern to south-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, the north-eastern tip of the Eastern Cape and the north-western parts of the Northern Cape.

The rest of the country will remain dry.

Temperatures

Minimum temperatures are expected to cool across most parts of South Africa, with warmer conditions predicted in the Western Cape and some parts of Limpopo.

The coldest places in South Africa are expected to be Sutherland in the Northern Cape and Queenstown in the Eastern Cape, dropping to a freezing 0°C.

Maximum temperatures are expected to be warm across most of South Africa, with cooler conditions in Mpumalanga.

The hottest place in South Africa will be Vredendal in the Western Cape, reaching a high of 31°C.

Pretoria is expected to experience a maximum of 23°C, while Johannesburg is expected to have a high of 22°C. A high of 22°C is predicted for Bloemfontein.

Along the coastal regions, Cape Town will reach 27°C and Port Elizabeth is expected to reach 25°C while Durban will reach 23°C.
